Chipping away
Not a lot completed this weekend, I'm still working on the wiring, have the undertray in place, it was a tight squeeze into the frame and now has a hairline crack - not big, resealed, and not noticable. Trial fit of the oil tank - I'm in two minds on whether to use this or stick with pre-mix. I took off the rear master cylinder and managed to collect most of the air bubble in the line, quick bleed and it's back on but it still needs another bleed to finish off.

Hey, I am very intrigued by your RGV/KLX650 swap. My RGV motor just bit the dust. How much frame modification was required? Any details will be sincerely and greatly appreciated!!!! Tom tcooper7767@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteHi Tom, I bought the bike with the motor already fitted. It did have some tight bits and you'll need to completely redo the underside of the petrol tank or work out an alternative one. Not sure where you are but RGVspares.com do a replacement motor - not reco just from another bike if you really need to get going quickly.
